Eating Disorders Counseling and Therapy
According to the National Eating Disorder Association, nearly 20 million women and men suffer from a clinically significant eating disorder in their lifetime, including anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating. Eating disorders are characterized by irregular eating habits or distress or excessive thoughts about body image, weight and size.
Eating disorders, which typically develop during teenage year or early adulthood, are treatable, but can result in serious medical and health problems without intervention.
Our therapists work with each client utilizing an individualized approach, in collaboration with a client’s other service providers, including medical doctors and nutritionists, to focus on addressing various behaviors, thoughts and feelings connected to eating struggles.
